Free medical testing for residents via HKIC-New Frontier partnership
Hong Kong residents will gain future access to free medical testing services provided by New Frontier Group, according to the Hong Kong Investment Corporation.
The promise of free services is one of the items that fall under the strategic partnership of HKIC, a government fund managing HK$62 billion, and New Frontier, a healthcare and life sciences group co-founded and chaired by Antony Leung Kam-chung, who served as Financial Secretary between 2001 and 2003.
HKIC chief executive Clara Chan Ka-chai said they would choose appropriate medical projects, such as free testing services, and reserve quotas for the city‘s residents.
Chan did not reveal what projects would be involved, but said they already have a list and that they will make formal announcements when the projects reach their appropriate stages.
